Taiwan-based company to build hotel in Kokusai Street

On June 28, Taiwan-based company Chia Hsin Cement Corporation announced a plan to build a hotel at a lot in Kokusai Street where Kokuei Theater used to be located. The company has already purchased the lot. The hotel will have 13 floors above ground and will have 239 rooms. It will be the first time the company has built a hotel in Okinawa. Construction will start at the beginning of 2017 and the hotel will be opened before the 2020 Summer...
