The Bingata dying method is one of Okinawa’s quintessential art techniques. Characterized by its colors, featuring vivid reds, yellows, indigos, and greens, as well as rhythmical patterns, it was developed during the Ryukyu Kingdom through trade with Asia and is Okinawa’s signature traditional art.
