The Ryukyu Shimpo held an event in the evening of September 7 to commemorate the 110th anniversary of birth of the great Okinawan poet Baku Yamanokuchi. Held in Izumizaki, Naha and attended by about 450 people, it also celebrated the 120th anniversary of the establishment of the Ryukyu Shimpo.
