A movie depicting the spirit of non-combat, Star Sand, which was shot in Ie Island, was screened at the Sakurazaka Theater in Naha city on June 21. The movie told the story of American and Japanese deserters and a girl on an island of Okinawa during the war. The director Roger Pulvers and Okinawan actor Shinnosuke Mitsushima spoke to audience members at the screening.
